Essentially, the benefit of coaching is that you develop an awareness of your goals and values thereby becoming accountable for your actions. The alignment of your goals, values and actions through coaching will give you a sense of general well being which will transpire to your personal and professional life. Depending on yours goals and objectives, coaching can assist you in many ways and produce different results. For example, it may be that you develop an ability to cope in situations that previously caused you unnecessary stress. Alternatively, it may be that you learn to delegate to others with confidence, develop better social skills, learn to effectively manage anger and other destructive emotions which harm personal and professional relationships or learn better time management skills. Your coach will help you achieve results by assessing and matching your individual learning style, and through self-paced learning, help you match your values and goals with those of the organization you work with, and with those relations that are important to you. The individual's level of awareness, commitment to the process and ability to consider and reflect on the coaching sessions. As such, an individual may begin to see results within weeks or over a more extended period of time. Whilst it can be useful to set time frames for oneself, coaching is just the beginning of the ongoing journey of improving one's life, therefore the focus should be on learning the tools which you will use once the coaching relationship ends.
