A UNIQUE STYLE
My approach to coaching is informed by my trust in particular theories based in behavorial psychology. It is my belief that the problems and difficulties that we encounter in life, in our relationships at home and at work are the result of decisions we make, which are guided by the part of us which is unconscious. The unconscious is the name given to the psyche which compliments the ego, its conscious counterpart. Our instinctive impulses reside in our unconscious, which is basically primitive and yet we use our instincts in daily life to negotiate our most important decisions. Therefore, if we are serious about our present and the promise of a reliable future, we must educate our unconscious, that is, gradually make it conscious. This is what I bring to people who are too busy to spend hundreds of hours studying to educate their unconscious. I help the individual understand aspects of his or her unconscious, also known as blind spots or shadow, through the observation and study of its characteristics. This way, you learn to integrate it into your conscious thereby minimising its pervasive, unwanted negative influence. This way of working empowers you as you become the watcher of your own detractor. |
